Plumbing Repairs & Service

Reliable plumbing repairs and service for homes across the Merrimack Valley and Southern NH.

When Something Goes Wrong

Plumbing problems don't wait for a convenient time. A leaking pipe at 10 PM or a backed-up drain on a Sunday morning. It happens. Dracut Plumbing and Heating has been fixing plumbing problems in the Merrimack Valley for over 30 years. We've seen it all and we know how to diagnose the issue quickly and fix it right.

Common Problems We Fix

Leaks

Leaks range from a slow drip under the kitchen sink to a burst pipe in the wall. Small leaks cause big damage over time. Mold, rotted wood, stained ceilings. If you see water where it shouldn't be, call us. We'll find the source, fix the pipe, and help you avoid bigger problems down the road.

Clogged Drains

A slow drain is annoying. A completely blocked one is an emergency. We clear clogs in sinks, tubs, showers, and main sewer lines. We use professional drain cleaning equipment, not just a plunger. If the clog keeps coming back, we'll figure out why. Sometimes it's tree roots in the sewer line. Sometimes it's a belly or break in the pipe that needs repair.

No Hot Water

If your hot water disappears, the cause depends on what kind of water heater you have. It could be a failed thermocouple, a bad heating element, a tripped reset button, or sediment buildup in the tank. We troubleshoot and repair all types of water heaters. If the unit is beyond repair, we can replace it the same day in most cases.

Running Toilets

A running toilet wastes a surprising amount of water. Usually it's a worn flapper, a bad fill valve, or a float that needs adjusting. Quick fix most of the time. We'll also let you know if the toilet itself is old enough that a replacement makes more sense than another repair.

Noisy Pipes

Banging, hammering, or whistling pipes are more than just annoying. Water hammer puts stress on joints and fittings and can eventually cause leaks. Whistling usually means a valve or fitting is partially obstructed. We track down the noise and fix the underlying cause.

Low Water Pressure

Low pressure can come from a corroded galvanized pipe, a failing pressure regulator, a partially closed valve, or a problem with the municipal supply. We test the pressure at multiple points in the system to narrow down the cause. Older homes in Dracut with original galvanized piping often benefit from a full or partial repipe with copper or PEX.

Honest Diagnosis

We tell you what's actually wrong and what it will cost to fix. No upselling. No scare tactics. If a $15 part fixes the problem, that's what we'll recommend. If the repair would cost more than a replacement, we'll tell you that too. You make the decision.
